What to know before you go
- Sung Sot Cave is on Bo Hon Island in Ha Long Bay and is one of the bay’s signature sightseeing stops. It is widely known for its impressive scale, with a long approach staircase leading to the entrance and a dramatic interior that opens into large chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites.
- The cave is part of the classic Ha Long Bay cruise experience and is often combined with Ti Top Island and Luon Cave. For solo travelers, it is a good low-risk sightseeing stop, but the best experience comes from visiting early, staying with your group or guide, and wearing shoes with good grip because the steps and cave floor can be slippery.
